Doing Something
So, I just finished reading a great article about doing something. And one of the parting shots was, "I recommend you do a blog if you’re not already — it’ll help solidify your thinking, build a reputation, find people who are interested in what you do, demonstrate your knowledge and passion." So, I thought...”I have a neglected blog. I should post my ramblings.” So here I am, posting my ramblings.
This article, along with this one, kind of inspired me. Maybe it just hit me at the right time. You see, I have spent the past two days and the next 3 proctoring a test to sophomores. There is nothing wrong with sophomores. Some of my favorite people, became so when they were sophomores. It was more the task and the inherent silence of it all. You may read boredom here. But I want to do something. I don’t know if it is a call to do something different career wise or to just live fully in general, but I’d like to explore it.
One thing the article suggested was to conduct a sort of talent inventory so with the greatest amount of humility I can muster whilst listing how great I am, here I go.

Pop culture. Especially The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, comic books and the things that are inspired by them, this list could get too long to really be contained by a table cell, but I think you get the drift.

Well, I’m not sure if I’m quite equipped to quit my day job, but perhaps there is an idea or two lurking around that list that will inspire me to spring from my bed each day and stay up late into the night trying to conquer the world. What does your list look like?
